Charity Hosting
Free charity website hosting for registered UK charities
Registered UK charities can apply for a full hosting account at no cost. Not a stripped-back free plan: a real Business-tier account, including NVMe SSD, email, backups, and the Enhance control panel.
The programme is ongoing. As long as your charity remains registered and the hosting is used for charitable purposes, the account stays free. It is designed for charity websites, campaign pages, volunteer information, local groups, and small non-profit projects that need reliable UK hosting without adding another running cost.

UK-Based
The charity must primarily operate within the United Kingdom.
Valid Charity Number
A valid registration number is required at application. We verify directly with the relevant commission.

A complete account for your charity website and email
Your account includes 25 GB of NVMe storage, unlimited bandwidth for normal website use, unlimited email accounts, daily backups, automatically renewed SSL, the Enhance control panel, and 24/7 support.
You can install WordPress, create mailboxes for your team, manage DNS, and restore files or databases. If you already have a website, tell us about its platform, size, email arrangement, and current host so we can confirm whether it can be migrated.
Read our migration handover checklist before sending access details.
What the free programme does not cover
- Domain registration and renewal fees
- Website design, content writing, or routine site maintenance
- Premium themes, plugins, or other third-party licences
- Resale, unrelated commercial sites, bulk email, or public file distribution
- Dedicated-server resources or unsupported custom services
All accounts remain subject to our Terms of Service, acceptable-use rules, available shared-hosting resources, and periodic eligibility checks. We will discuss an alternative before making changes if the website outgrows the programme.

Common Questions
Is charity web hosting really free?
Yes. Eligible registered UK charities can receive a hosting account at no cost while the account is used for charitable purposes and the charity remains registered.
Do you host charity email as well?
Yes. The charity hosting account includes email account support alongside website hosting, SSL, backups, and the Enhance control panel.
Can small local charities apply?
Yes. Small local charities can apply as long as they have a valid UK charity registration number or equivalent UK registration that we can verify.
What do I need to include with my application?
Send your registered charity name and number, the current or planned website address, a short description of the charity’s work, and the name of an authorised contact. Tell us if an existing website or email service needs to move.
Is a domain name included?
No. The programme covers website and email hosting. Domain registration, renewal, premium software licences, website design, and ongoing content updates are separate unless agreed in writing.
Can we run WordPress or accept donations?
Yes. You can run WordPress and link to or integrate a reputable donation provider, provided the website primarily supports the registered charity’s work and remains within the hosting account’s resources and our terms.
Can a community group without a charity number apply?
The free programme normally requires a registration we can verify with a UK charity regulator. Contact us before applying if your organisation has a different recognised UK charitable status and explain how it is registered.
Are there usage limits?
Yes. The account includes 25 GB of NVMe storage and is intended for ordinary charity websites and email. It cannot be resold or used for unrelated commercial activity, bulk mail, file distribution, prohibited content, or workloads that harm the shared platform.
